Clutch after Stage 1: the file did not eat the disc, the torque did

Extra torque finds a tired clutch in the first week. Say the slip on the ticket before you ask for more map. Dual-clutch packs have their own ceiling.

Reviewed by the lab desk before it went live. We write files; we do not rubber-stamp brochure numbers.

Stage 1 is still a software change. The clutch is still a consumable. If the bite was already high and the cabin already smelled warm after a hill, the extra newton-metres will finish the story. That is not a map bug. That is a part that was waiting.

Write the symptom in one line: slips in fourth, smells after two launches, DSG flare on the 2-3. We can leave torque where the pack lives, or we can refuse the job until the clutch is on the bench. A second, angrier file on a slipping disc is how you glaze it for good.

Dual-clutch cars often need the TCU conversation in the same week as the engine file. Engine torque without a TCU that will hold it is heat in the pack. Manual cars need a human who does not dump the clutch at 4.000 rpm to prove a screenshot. Neither of those is our flash.

Motorsport only. A stronger map is not a clutch warranty. Keep the original dump. When the new disc is in, you still have a stock file if the customer wants to feel the difference on the same road.
