Most modern turbos are not waiting for a miracle. They are waiting for a number. The factory file caps wheel torque so the gearbox, the dual-mass and the emissions cycle stay inside a brochure. When a workshop says the car hits a wall at 2.800 rpm and then climbs again, they are often describing a torque limiter, not a broken turbo.

We do not delete limiters as a sport. We raise the ones that match the hardware on the ticket. A DSG that still has the factory clutch pack does not want the same ceiling as a built DQ381 on a track car. If you write only Stage 1 and the gearbox is already slipping, the file is not the first conversation.

Put the gearbox type on the ticket. Put the clutch state in one line. If you already have a TCU map in mind, say so. One dump can carry an engine map and a torque request that the TCU will refuse. That fight shows up as heat, flare, or a customer who swears the remap did nothing.

Circuit and motorsport only. Raising a limiter is not a street homologation. Keep the original dump. The next owner may want the factory ceiling back when the clutch is original again.
